the third

Today is the third of July, the month named after Julius Caesar in 44 BC. It is the feast day of Saint Thomas. He said "my Lord and my God" after poking is hands in Jesus wounds. He was martyred in India by a spear.

Im back on cresche duty today.

I read about a schism in the Church by some Swedes . They follow Pope Pious and like the Latin Mass. Just don't receive communion of go to confession with them 'cause it wont be the real deal.

There was a bomb attack in Monaco. Evidently the son was a scammer. Cant work it out .

Plant seeds of kindness, they will bloom in unexpected ways. I suppose the opposite applies too.

  1. Yes, the Catholic Church is on the way out.
This schism is its death knell.
Once the average catholic wakes up to the fact that the Eucharist and all the other sacraments are nonsense then “poof” it’ll all be over.

    2. I'm looking forward to it given that the information you've given about your god isn't exactly an enticement. Aphrodite, on the other hand I'd give a go.

    3. Maria of Agreda says that Mary the Mother of God is the most perfect and beautiful of all God's creation. Wouldn't want to miss gazing at her would you?

  2. Swedes? Are we sure Rob isn't talking about Swiss Catholics?

"The most notable "swiss catholic revolt" refers to a major crisis involving the ultra-traditionalist Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX). Based at their seminary in Écône, Switzerland, the rebel group consecrated four new bishops without papal consent , prompting Pope Leo XIV and the Vatican to declare them in schism and formally excommunicate them all "

  3. "The Great Schism: The most notable example in history is the East-West Schism of 1054, which permanently divided the Christian world into Western Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy. Another prominent event is the Western Schism, a split within the Catholic Church from 1378 to 1417 where competing papal claimants existed in Rome and Avignon "

    1. That comment was from me. Sometimes Roberts blog doesn't recognise me. Never mind eh. It's just as well that Richard and Shelley have cancelled the lunch date tomorrow otherwise Lynn and I might drive straight past Robert's house - not recognising him.
