26. Some sayings of Robert son of Bob.

Let not the soil of your indoor plants be too wet lest they rot at the roots, for a drunkard soaks his innards and gets unwell. Let a wise man read the Bible daily; the fool thinks there has no need and misses out on grace. Rinse your plates before placing them in the dishwasher, for dried food sticks like bad habits. Don't curry favour with the ungodly; maintain your peace and they may come around to your way of thinking. If God seems to leave you alone, be patient, He has a reason. Better to run your heat pump on high and pay a bigger bill than be cold and have money in the bank. Visit the grave of your relatives and pray for them; for one day you may need their prayers. A fool visits a loved one's grave and shuffles his feet not knowing what to do; the wise man says a rosary for that person.  Those who chatter and laugh before and after Mass are like people at a restaurant who don't think about what they are ordering.

And when you are painting your bathroom dont be like the foolish man who uses neither skim coat nor under coat. You must apply several coats of these and sand thoroughy. Let your final coat be of pure white and mould resistant; for thus too must be your soul.
