It's all about Peter.

Today is the feast of Peter (and  Paul) though Paul doesn't get a mention in the readings at Mass today. It might as well be  Peter and Richard. Our church is named after Peter and Paul. I call it Peter and Paul's.  Is that right. Should it be Peter's and Paul's? Actually it's Saints Peter and Paul. No apostrophe.

Herod and the Judahs (Jews) arrest Peter. They put him in prison sleeping between two Roman soldiers but an angel gets him out. How anyone could sleep in chains between two soldiers beggers belief. I wonder if they all wore pyjamas. "Stop taking all the blanket Biggus".

Jesus says he will found his Church on Peter and the gates of hell will not prevail against it! What does that mean? Will the church knock down the gates of hell? Why would it want to get into hell? Maybe RBB  knows.

I had a ring last evening but I took it off. Old Tony joke. The call was from a lady at work who wants me to help clean the Creche this morning. That means heading off about 3.30 and picking her up from Wainui to start work at 4 am. I just have to vacuum up all the glitter and sand (from the sand pit) and mop some floors. It's time and a quarter so is kind of worth it. They throw in another half hour which we use  for normal duties afterwards. That's still 1.25! They don't really like paying overtime but haven't much choice as nobody else wants to get up early and clean a Creche. Creches are notoriously unpopular amongst cleaners. The staff don't give a merda about how much mess the little ones make. They have little beds which no one makes too. I wonder if they just sleep in any. I wonder if the staff have a nap too. Not my worry.

The three bloggers of Wellington are assembling at RBB's for a luncheon this Saturday. I don't expect crowds outside wanting autographs. I doubt if the female companions of two will allow theological discourse. Should be interesting none the less.
