The day after

 I think that the storm has moved up the North Island. My barometer is showing full sun 🌞. Though I wouldn't plan your day on my barometer. 

In the first reading things are dire for the Christians after they stoned Stephen. Saul (St Paul) is arresting any in Jerusalem so a lot including Phillip flee to Samatria which is probably modern day Seria.

Jesus gives a beautiful speach saying that he is the source of real life and anyone who believes in him will be welcome in his kingdom. Though of course you would be pushing your luck to say that sin would be ok. That'd be like saying you love your wife then play around. It ain't going to come out good!

I think I'll have a day tidying up as my beloved L is coming tomorrow. I'm toying with the idea of driving up this evening and staying in a motel over night so I'll be fresh when I pick her up tomorrow morning. Though I haven't decided yet.

I read that the BNZ is going to shorten the period of free interest after a purchase on Visa. They have the audacity to write a long paragraph on how this will benefit customers! I don't bank with them but I'm sure mine will follow suit. It kind of annoys me because I have to use my credit card for parking payments. I make a point of paying it the next day to avoid interest. It would be good if I could have a parking account with about $50 in it, from which payments would come. Is that possible?

It's kind of like the cost of petrol. If only 20% of the petrol comes from the war area, why does petrol go up 25%? I think our petrol comes from refineries in Asia anyway! Businesses are just greedy, and the government too gutless to challenge them. They are probably all mates.
