Fry day.

 I have a day off but I wont be sitting around or sleeping in. Yes, you guessed I'm off to Fielding  the Manawatu. My darling is coming down for Valentines day tomorrow. The Catholic church remembers Cyril and Methodius. Cyril made up his own alphabet called Cyrillic.

In the Gospel Mark 8-1 Jesus feeds the big crowd of 4000 people. There were no supermarkets back then and everybody had to make their bread from scratch. It took all day. This they would dip in Olive oil and if lucky add a bit of dried salty fish or fresh fruit. So it was a big deal to just sit on the grass and be fed. A real picnic. Stretch out and burp, just lay there watching the clouds drift overhead....I think Jesus realized he could have a lot of hangers on taking advantage of his kindness thinking they are on to a good thing; so he then tells them to go away and he jumps in a boat and whizzes away out of sight.

Looking at the news it seems that sewage processing plants don't need a WOF. So Wellington's discharge seems due to improper maintenance. This could happen else where very easily. So no one cares about pumping shit into the sea but the government wants to spend a billion to make a port for gas imports. Meanwhile we have huge stockpiles of coal at Huntly and Uranium on the West Coast. Not like we are going to pollute anyone. The westerlies will just blow it over the Pacific Ocean. Hmmph.

Well I better get moving and run the vacuum around and mop the floors.
