Monday

In Maccabees today we see the Jews choosing to go pagan and reject their loving God. Can't think of any one else reading this blog doing that.

Jesus heals a blind man. Ho hum just another miracle by the Son of God and creator of the world. Now if he had left a photo of himself we would believe. Really?

I went to Mass last evening. Afterwards I prayed the Rosary

TC has been looking at some mansions townhouses. I hope he finds what they want.

RBB has fallen behind on his practice schedule. He warns his readers to "Look out for that evil God of Robert's". I think if he has not done his practice; surely he can't blame God. It's kind of weird the way he talks as though I made up a God that really exists too. It's like he thinks there are many gods. But if he stopped to think he might realize that by definition there can be only one 'God', not in a Greek mythical sense, but philosophically. He doesn't define what he means by evil either. If God was evil how does he explain that there is so much goodness in the world? So it goes, I don't really care!

Lunch at 'aunty' Marie's yesterday.

Well I'm off to work now.

Have fun and don't sin.

  1. If we buy that house in Hobson Street (Hobson’s choice?) our local church will be Saint Paul’s. is that OK?

How dare those ignorant people have fun in church.

    1. I think St Paul's is Anglican. You are a baptized Catholic.

    2. I didn't give up free choice by being baptised as a catholic, besides, I renounced that nonsense many years ago.

  2. I’ve always liked the name Maccabees,
It makes me think of bumblebees wearing kilts.
It’s hard to take the bible seriously sometimes.

    1. It's good that you take the Bible seriously at other times.

  3. You were right to strike out ‘mansions’.
They are just houses with no gardens.
