Tuesday

 The Gospel today has Jesus dipping the bread in the wine and handing it to Judas Iscariot telling him to go do what he's going to do.

 I think it is a mistake to think that this was preordained and Judas just a pawn. The high priests (not the Cardinal) have been out to get Jesus for weeks. They want him dead. Jesus has been evading arrest for some time too. It's inevitable that they will catch up with Him. If Judas hadn't sold Jesus out, the Jewish Priests would still have found Him. You could argue that the high priests were preordained too. Else how would Jesus have died for our sins. What if Jesus had lived a long life and died peacefully in His bed? Where would be the sacrufice to the Father. Only God knows. But seeing the future is not the same as controlling what will happen. 

I'm still trying to fast each day. I was naughty yesterday and bought a pie for lunch. Mr Clear says never break a habit more than once. So it'll just be dinner today. I'm building positive habits of reading the daily scripture verses each morning and reading a chapter of 'Atomic Habits' each night. I skipped cello practise last night, so must do that this evening!

There has to be clouds and rain in our life if our spiritual garden is to florish. (Streams in the desert: day Jan 8).
